What We Make

Films shaped by story, not formula.

Studio Portrait is built around four film disciplines. The categories are clear; the filmmaking remains flexible.

01

Branded Documentary

Stories we are invited into. Commissioned documentary films for businesses, founders, and organizations. These are not conventional advertisements. They are authored nonfiction portraits built through interviews, observation, real environments, and independent editorial judgment. The business may bring us the subject; the story still leads the film.

02

Independent Documentary

Stories we choose to pursue. Original nonfiction developed because a person, place, community, idea, or moment deserves to be documented. The film begins with curiosity and develops through observation, access, interviews, and time.

03

Wedding Filmmaking Coming Soon

A day remembered as it was lived. Wedding films created as lasting portraits — preserving your gestures, voices, relationships, and moments that define a day worth remembering.

04

Narrative Filmmaking Coming Soon

Original fiction films. Crafted with cinematic intention — from the first page to the final frame.

Post-Production / Finishing

The final frame deserves the same care as the first.

Studio Portrait also provides select post-production and finishing for films produced outside the studio — including editing, color grading, final image refinement, and delivery mastering.

Across the disciplines

The form can move. The story stays first.

Each discipline can borrow from the others when the story calls for it. A wedding can be approached with documentary restraint. A narrative film can embrace observational realism. A branded documentary can carry a more formal cinematic structure.

The category tells you what kind of project it is—not how narrowly it must be filmed.

Project Pricing

Every portrait is built around what the story needs.

No two films ask for the same access, time, crew, locations, or post-production. Each proposal is built around the film itself, then the production is scoped to match.

02

Create

Cinematography, interviews, location sound, and observational coverage shaped around what the story reveals.

03

Refine

Before We Begin

Common questions.

What is a branded documentary?

A commissioned documentary portrait about a business, founder, or organization. The client brings Studio Portrait into the subject; Studio Portrait brings the documentary authorship.

Can Studio Portrait film a focused interview?

Yes. Interviews are part of the branded-documentary practice and can become the central form of a focused documentary portrait when that is the right way to tell the story.

Do you publish fixed production packages?

No. Documentary work is scoped around the story and the access it requires rather than a one-size-fits-all package.

Are Narrative and Wedding available now?

Not yet. Both are marked Coming Soon while Studio Portrait develops those disciplines intentionally.
